Crochet 6-inch Around the Post Puff block


Materials: 1 ozs. Worsted weight acrylic yarn; Crochet hook size G.

Finished size: 6"

To work front post double crochet puff (fpdcp): *Yo, insert hook from front to back to front around post of stitch, pull up loop to the top of the stitch* three times. Yo, pull through all 7 loops on the hook, yo and pull through last loop to close.


Directions:

Chain 24

Row 1: single crochet in the second chain from hook, single crochet in remaining chains, chain 2 and turn

Row 2: double crochet in each stitch across, chain 2 and turn

Row 3: (right side) double crochet in the first stitch, *work fpdcp around the next stitch, double crochet in the next 3 stitches,* repeat across ending with 1 double crochet instead of 3, chain 2 and turn

Row 4: double crochet in each stitch across, chain 2 and turn (be careful that you only place 1 stitch in the top of each puff and not 2)

Row 5: (right side) double crochet in the next 3 stitches, *work fpdcp around the next stitch, double crochet in the next 3 stitches,* chain 2 and turn

Repeat row 2 and 5 until square (usually 15 rows), edge with a row of single crochet all around, finish, and weave in ends.
