Halfknits - Denim Fleece Hat Pattern

For each hat you need to cut out 4 short denim pieces and 4 long fleece pieces

Fleece lining: Place 2 of your fleece pieces together right sides facing each other (a lot of fleece doesn’t have a right or wrong side for you to worry about) Starting at the tip of the crown sew down one side with a 1/4 in seam allowance, set aside and repeat with your other 2 fleece pieces. Open up your 2 halves and place together right sides facing each other, starting at the bottom brim sew up one side, around the top crown, and down the other side with a 1/4 in seam allowance leaving the bottom open. Set aside, do not turn right side out, the seams need to be on the outside of your finished dome.

Denim shell: Place 2 of your denim pieces together right sides facing each other. Starting at the tip of the crown sew down one side with a 1/4in seam allowance, set aside and repeat with your other 2 denim pieces. Open up your 2 halves and place together right sides facing each other, starting at the bottom brim sew up one side, around the top crown, and down the other side with a 1/4 in seam allowance leaving the bottom open. Turn right side out, place over your lining piece as far as it will go. Turn up your fleece lining until it just covers the bottom denim edge. Sew along the overlapped brim edge making sure to catch both the denim and the fleece. Trim away any hanging threads flip up the fleece brim and enjoy.
