Round 1 - chain 3, work 15 double crochets in the ring join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 3 (16 double crochets)

Round 2 - chain 3, 2 double crochets in next stitch, (double crochet in next stitch, 2 double crochets in next stitch) repeat around join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 3 (24 double crochets)

Round 3 - chain 3, double crochet in next stitch, (2 double crochets in next stitch, double crochet in next 2 stitches) repeat around, join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 3 (32 double crochets)

Round 4- chain 3, double crochet in next 2 stitches, (2 double crochets in next stitch, double crochet in next 3 stitches) repeat around, join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 3, (40 double crochets)

Round 5- chain 3, double crochet in next 3 stitches, (2 double crochets in next stitch, double crochet in next 4 stitches) repeat around, join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 3 (48 double crochets)

Round 14 – skip the first stitch, half-double crochet in next 33 stitches, chain 2 and turn (34 half-double crochets)

Round 16 – skip the first stitch, half-double crochet in next 31 stitches, chain 2 and turn (32 half-double crochets)
