Materials: Worsted weight acrylic yarn, Crochet hook size G

Finished size: 6"


To work front post dc (fpdc): Yo, insert hook from front to back to front around post of stitch, complete dc.

To work front post sc (fpsc): Insert hook from front to back to front around post of stitch, complete sc.

Ch 4, join with a sl st to form ring 

Round 1: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, work 13 more dc in the ring; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3 (14 dc)

Round 2: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, fpdc around the beginning ch 3 of round 1; (dc in the next dc, fpdc around the same dc) around; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3 (28 sts)

Round 3: Ch 3 to count as the first dc, dc in the same st as joining, fpdc around the next fpdc; (2 dc in the next dc, fpdc around the next fpdc) around; join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (42 sts)

Round 4: ch 1, (fpsc around the last fpdc, ch 3) around; join with a sl st to the first fpsc. (14 ch 3 loops)

Round 5: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, (4 dc in the next ch 3 loop, sc in the next fpsc) around, ending with 4 dc in the last ch 3 loop, join with a sl st to the first sc. (14 shells)

Round 6: work behind round 5 and 4 into round 3, sl st into the top of a stitch from row 3, (sc in the next 4 st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2 trc in the next 2 sts, dc in next st, hdc in next st,) around, sl st to the first sc.  (48 sts)

Round 7: Ch 2, dc in the next 7 sts, 3 dc in the next trc st, ch 1 (3 dc in the next trc st, dc in the next 10 sts, 3 dc in the next trc st, ch 1) 3 times, 3 dc in the next trc st, dc in the last 2 sts, sl st into the first dc. (64 sts & 4 chs)

Round 8: Ch 2, dc in the next 10 sts, (3 trc in the ch 1 sp, dc in the next 16 sts, ) 3 times, 3 trc in the ch 1 sp, dc in the last 5 sts, sl st into the first dc. (76 sts)

Round 9: Ch 1, sc in the next 9 sts, (4 hdc in the st, sc in the next 16 sts) 3 times, 4 hdc in the st, sc in the last 7 sts, sl st into the first sc, Fasten off. Weave in ends. (84 sts)
