Materials: 1ozs. Worsted weight acrylic yarn; Hook size G or H.

Finished size: 6"

To work front post double crochet (fpdc): Yarn over, insert hook from front to back and to front again around the vertical post (upright part) of next stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through, yarn over and complete double crochet.

To work back post double crochet (bpdc): Yarn over, reaching over top of piece and working on opposite side of work insert hook from back to front and to back again around the vertical post (upright part) of next stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through, yarn over and complete double crochet.

Directions
Chain 21

Row 1: single crochet in the second chain from hook, single crochet each stitch across, chain 2 and turn (20 stitches)

Row 2: double crochet in each stitch across, chain 2, turn (20 stitches)

Row 3–5: double crochet in the first stitch * 1 FRONT POST double crochet in the next 3 stitches, 1 BACK POST double crochet in the next 3 stitches * across, half double crochet in the last stitch, ch 2, turn. (20 stitches)

Row 6–8: double crochet in the first stitch * 1 BACK POST double crochet in the next 3 stitches, 1 FRONT POST double crochet in the next 3 stitches, * across, half double crochet in the last stitch, ch 2, turn. (20 stitches)

Repeat Rows 3–8 until desired length. Edge with a row of single crochet all around, finish, and weave in ends.
