This is the easiest edging pattern to communicate or remember. It uses the most amount of yarn of any of the patterns so only use it if you have yarn to spare.
Note: Any blanket made by sewing blocks
together should have a row of single crochet around the outside before adding any edging.
Directions:
Chain up 4,
Triple crochet twice in each stitch until you reach a corner,
in the last before a corner do 4 Triple crochets,
in the corner stitch do 6 Triple crochets,
in the stitch after a corner do 4 Triple crochets,
continue Triple crocheting twice in each stitch,
When you have gone around the whole blanket slip stitch into the tope of your chain 4, Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Alternate version: I have done a ruffle edge using a hook two times larger than the one used in the blanket and double crochets.
