Materials Needed: 2 skeins of thin baby yarn or 1 skein of chunky yarn, and a K hook
NOTE: Hat is worked holding 2 strands of
yarn at the same time or 1 strand of chunky yarn. All stitch counts include the starting chain as a stitch.

Chain 4, join with a slip
stitch to form a ring
Round 1 - chain 2, work 15 double crochets in the ring join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 2 (16
double crochets)
Round 2 - chain 2, 2 double crochets in next stitch, (double crochet in next stitch, 2 double crochets in next
stitch) repeat around join with a slip stitch to the top of chain 2 (24 double crochets)
Round 3 - chain 2, double crochet in
next stitch, (2 double crochets in next stitch, double crochet in next 2 stitches) repeat around, join with a slip stitch to the top
of chain 2 (32 double crochets)
Round 4-7 - chain 2, double crochet in each stitch around, join with a slip stitch in the top
of chain 2 (32 double crochets)
Round 8 - chain 1, single crochet in FRONT LOOP ONLY of each stitch around, join with a slip
stitch to the top of chain 1
Round 9 - chain 1, (single crochet in next stitch, chain 3) repeat this around joining with a slip stitch to the top of chain 1. Fasten off.
